Kristin Chenoweth to Exit Promises, Promises in September

Kristin Chenoweth has revealed that she plans to depart the hit Broadway revival of Promises, Promises on September 26. In an interview with Crushable.com, the Tony-winning actress says she'll end her run as Fran Kubelik in order to reprise her role as April Rhodes on the hit TV series Glee.

“I just have to say how proud I am [of Glee],” the actress said. “I can’t wait to come back and I’m very honored they wrote that part for me. I think that what they’ve done is they’ve made being a nerd cool. And I was certainly one in high school, so I’m really glad they did that.”

The Broadway revival of Promises, Promises opened April 25 at the Broadway Theatre and earned four Tony nominations including acting nods for Chenoweth's co-stars Sean Hayes (who will host this year's ceremony on June 13) and Katie Finneran.
